1. Purposes of Practicum

The purpose of the practicum is made the environment for student teacher has chances to experience teaching in other countries. It’s also helps us to develop communication skills and teaching skills. We can open our mind by learning cultural of receiving country, the lovely people, the traditional clothes, the diversity dishes,… That’s one of the reason make us to be a globally competitive teachers in the future.

2. Procedures of Practicum

We all had the orientation day with VRU (receiving university). Because we had only 2 weeks for all the things to do. So we made with double energy to complete duty.

We had observation, teaching assistant, teaching practice for 2 weeks

And lastly, we had a farewell party at VRU and got the certificate from them.

3. Outcomes of Practicum

Everyone including mentors, buddies,… always helped me through trouble things. I learned various things like culture, the way people work, clothes,… The materials and modern technology made me impressed. And I also had chances to using English for communication and teaching.

4. The Challenges of Practicum

Because I just attended this project for 2 weeks so that I couldn’t join enough activities there. The next is hard for expressing my idea to other people understood. The schedule of school was so different from my country, that’s why I haven’t got used to with their timework.

5. Overall Impression

This is the best memories to me for the first time to go abroad, especially teaching by English. I had lots of things for learned, maybe it’s good for my job in the future. And I could communicate to people confidently do not concentrate too much on grammar which people can understand what I say. I’ve met lovely guys, my buddy, my mentor from VRU and Watpangiw school, I’m so appreciate to them. All these memories will be treasured forever in my life.

6. Suggestions for Future Improvement

I have some suggestions that the Sea Teacher project must have lots of co-operation with others country in Southwest Asia. I hope that this projest can last more than 1 months because the future teacher need more experiences and maybe can create some qualified teachers.
